2025 - 2027 Committee Volunteer Application

The March 2025 actions of the Assembly of State Delegates at the Biennial Meeting closing session resulted in the total formation of 22 committees, which include: 8 Council Committees and the continuation of 14 Standing Committees.

You MUST be a current member of CFP to serve on a committee.

• If you paid a registration fee for the 2025 Biennial Meeting, received a registration as a Sustaining Sponsor that included a complimentary membership, or you paid individual membership dues you are automatically a member of CFP for the 2025-2027 biennium and are “good to go” to apply and serve!
• If you did not register for the 2025 Biennial Meeting OR have not yet renewed your CFP membership, you may still submit a committee volunteer application but MUST have valid membership if selected to serve. The CFP membership and renewal page is now available at this link: https://www.foodprotect.org/forms/membership-form/
• For the most part, CFP Committees convene and work via conference calls, virtual meetings, and email.
• Committees have assigned charges, and in general are expected to complete these charges by December 1, 2026, to meet the Issue submittal deadline for the next Biennial Meeting scheduled for April 19-23, 2027 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Committee membership is required to be balanced by constituency and geography, with the added goal to provide as many CFP members as possible with the opportunity to serve on at least one committee. You may indicate interest in Standing Committees, a maximum of three (3) Council Committees, and indicate if you are willing and able to serve in a leadership role such as a Committee Chair or Vice-Chair.

Committee work is critical for the process and mission of the organization. If you cannot commit to the ongoing work needed for the completion of Committee charges, we ask that you NOT apply and allow others to serve who have the capacity to give their full commitment.

The LAST DAY To submit a Committee Volunteer Application is Wednesday, May 7, 2025,
at 11:59 PM Eastern time. There is NO fee to submit your application.
